Accessibility Statement

Erdöl-Lagergesellschaft m.b.H. is committed to making this website accessible in accordance with the Federal Act on the Accessibility of Websites and Mobile Applications (Web Accessibility Act – WZG), Federal Law Gazette I No. 59/2019, as amended.

This accessibility statement applies to the website at the URL: www.elg.at

Status of compliance with the requirements

Due to the following non-compliances and exemptions, this website is partially compliant with level AA of the "Web Content Accessibility Guidelines – WCAG 2.1" and the European Standard EN 301 549 V3.2.1 (2021-03) in accordance with Directive (EU) 2016/2102 of the European Parliament and of the Council.

Non-accessible content

The content listed below is not accessible for the following reasons:

a. Non-compliance with accessibility requirements

  • The correct hierarchy of headings and subheadings is not always guaranteed. Therefore, WCAG success criterion 2.4.10 (Section Headings) is only partially met.
  • Some click targets do not meet the minimum size requirements. As a result, WCAG success criterion 2.5.8 (Target Size Minimum) is only partially met.
  • Some elements on the website do not have a visible focus. Therefore, WCAG success criterion 2.4.7 (Focus Visible) is only partially met.
  • The website contains foreign words and abbreviations that are not identified. As a result, WCAG success criteria 3.1 (Readability) and 3.1.4 (Abbreviations) are only partially met.
  • Not all images have a meaningful alternative text. Therefore, WCAG success criterion 1.1.1 (Non-text Content) is not met.

b. Disproportionate burden

File formats (PDF format) from office applications that do not fall under the exemption of Directive (EU) 2016/2102 are not accessible or only partially accessible. For example, PDF documents are not tagged, meaning they cannot be read or used by screen reader users, or only to a limited extent. As a result, WCAG success criterion 4.1.2 (Name, Role, Value) is not met. Due to the large number of PDF documents and the associated costs and high organizational burden for revision, we believe that this would constitute a disproportionate burden within the meaning of the accessibility regulations.

We are committed to continuously improving new PDF documents and making them accessible or providing text alternatives.

c. The content does not fall within the scope of the applicable legislation

Many, primarily older, PDF documents and office documents published before September 23, 2018, that are not necessary for ongoing administrative procedures (publications) are not accessible. For example, PDF documents are not tagged, meaning they cannot be read or used by screen reader users, or only to a limited extent. There are currently no plans for comprehensive changes to these non-accessible documents, which are still exempt under Directive (EU) 2016/2102.

Enforcement procedure

If you do not receive a satisfactory response from the contact option mentioned above, you can submit a complaint to the complaints office of the Austrian Research Promotion Agency (limited liability company) (FFG). The FFG accepts complaints electronically via the complaints office contact form.

The FFG examines complaints to determine whether they relate to violations of the requirements of the Web Accessibility Act, in particular deficiencies in compliance with accessibility requirements, by the federal government or an entity attributable to it.

If the complaint is justified, the FFG must issue recommendations for action to the federal government or the affected legal entities and propose measures to eliminate the identified deficiencies.
